Ong Kok Peng 王国平

In 2019, Ong Kok Peng's artistic eminence was solidified with a double achievement. He was honored with an Excellence Award, an accolade that led him to Changchun to participate in “The 8th China Changchun International Ceramics Symposium & The 1st Yatai Lotus Mountain Prize International Ceramics Contest.” Here, his creations were not only appreciated but also embraced by the event's organizing body and the China Changchun Museum. At the same time, he also won the third prize award in the “Dr Tan Tsze Chor Art Award 2019, Western Art Painting Competition.”

Most of Ong's creations have found their homes in the esteemed collections of private connoisseurs. Noteworthy patrons include the Philippe Charriol Foundation, the Singapore Turf Club, The Ngee Ann Kongsi, Changchun Museum-China, and numerous private collectors.

Ong is a full-time artist with an impressive thirty-year creative history, excelling in the realms of painting, ceramics, and sculpture. His diverse skills and meticulous craftsmanship converge to create aesthetically pleasing works of art which are unrivaled. His artistic journey spans national and international stages, showcasing his talents through both curated and collaborative exhibitions. Particularly noteworthy are his three solo exhibitions in 2017, 2021, and 2022, each uniquely enriched with his paintings, pottery, and sculptures.

Ong Kok Peng’s creative endeavors have garnered notable acclaim through a series of awards. His achievements include winning the “1st Winner” and “Honorary Mentions” in the Sculpture Category at the Singapore Turf Club Art Competition in 1999. In addition, the UOB 14th Painting Competition awarded him a “Certificate of Commendation,” while the Philippe Charriol Foundation awarded him the esteemed “Certification of Distinction” for three sculptures in 1993.
